For this round of Quick-Fire Community Questions, we invited Youtuber Kyle Marvell, the newest member of the AC Partnership Program.
Col: Do you think the Partnership Program will open doors for you, and what can you personally gain from it?
Kyle: I certainly hope so; at this stage my subscriber count is only in the 200’s with none of my AC videos doing too well. So with this Partnership Program I hope that my videos reach a wider audience and that my name gets out there more in the AC community.
The big goal for me is to reach 1000 subscribers at some point next year, so joining this program should help me with that goal!
Col: Hi Kyle, thanks for joining us today! I'd like to start by covering your background. Please could you tell us a little bit about yourself and your recent Assassin's Creed projects.
Kyle: My name's Kyle Marvell, I’m a big gamer and have been playing the Assassins Creed games since day one. Assassins Creed has been a huge part of my life for 13 years now, It’s mad how long it’s been. I believe the series is more than a video game, I know that’s a bit of a cliché but it’s true for me and many others.
In recent times I have been making more AC content like the Valhalla fan trailers and the AC Symphony one year on video and plan on making even more for my YouTube channel.
Col: How long have you been creating YouTube content for?
Kyle: I started making YouTube content in December 2019, so it’s not been too long, but I’ve learned a lot since. I didn’t know anything about editing videos or designing logos or thumbnails. So I started from scratch basically and I‘m sure my skills will continue to improve.
Col: What;s your favourite Assassin's Creed game?
Kyle: For me it’s definitely Black Flag, as I explained in my Video Essay on Black Flag it just hits all the right spots. Okay the modern day could have been better but as a whole it’s my favourite AC game. That said also, I can totally understand why anyone would argue it’s one of the Ezio games, as they are all incredible and I miss those days!
Col: Do you have any personal AC goals you would like to achieve?
Kyle: I would say for one of my AC videos to reach one thousand views, because although that may seem like a minor goal, It hasn’t happened yet, so that would be nice.
Also I would like to one day visit a Ubisoft Studio, which would be really cool!
Col: Do you collect AC merchandise. If so, favourite item?
Kyle: I’m not the biggest collector but I do have an array of hoodies and jumpers. I also have an Apple of Eden, but my favourite item is my AC Origins canvas art, It’s basically a landscape version of the box art, I mean I still haven’t hung it up yet after 3 years, but I love it!
Col: What do you think is your best video so far?
Kyle: I think my best video is the Black Flag video essay I did, because it’s well put together and I made all the points I wanted in explaining why it’s not just a pirate game. Of course it could do with one or two improvements but I’m pretty happy with it.
Also the We are the Warriors 2 fan trailer, as it’s all in time with music and has received some brilliant feedback.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Merchandise Guide
Col: Are you excited for Valhalla?
Kyle: Yes I am excited, but not as hyped as some of the previous games for some reason. I guess the trailers just haven’t done it for me with Valhalla.
But there is still plenty to be excited for: the fact that Darby is back on board is a great sign, along with Jesper Kyd himself, then there’s the Settlement which looks amazing, and of course the Assassins returning.
It really does have the making of a great game, we shall see!
