Recently we released an article that broke down the Modern Day aspects of the Assassin's Creed Franchise.

Today we're collecting Feedback from the Community to hear thoughts, hopes and ideas about the future of Present Day. All information collected will be added to this page.

I would personally like to see more playable missions in the Modern Day sections, like we had in AC3. Fighting Abstergo in different countries would be cool. I'd also like to see a number of existing characters like Charlotte de la Cruz and Simon Hathaway in the games. I also think it would be cool to see the Instruments of the First Will as an enemy faction, and Juno as more of a threat (In the games)

Well first of all the major plot points such as Desmond's son and Juno getting a body. But then would also like to see what the assassins are up to such as William and what their plan is.

I think William Miles will introduce Layla into the Isu story, it seems that she don't know very much about them Maybe a meeting or a phone call/video conference with the group of Callum Lynch? And some missions with Layla fighting Abstergo or the group of Desmond's son

What do you like, and what do you not like?

I love connections to the past and first civ, after all, that's what make the old MD so good. I don't like floating tablets. LOL

Do you prefer Playable Missions, Cutscenes or other forms (Modern Day Game, animation etc)

Both gameplay and cutscenes. I'm all up for the MD to be on other medias, as long as the main story is IN THE GAMES.

Which games do you think had the best Modern Day?

AC2 in terms of connection to the other stories, ACR when it comes to character development for Desmond and AC3 had the best missions.

Are you following the Modern Day storyline in the Assassin's Creed Titan Comics?

No. I really don't like comic books.

There are lots of characters with some great potential in AC, I believe there's no need to introduce new ones when we already have Galina, Otso Berg and Desmonds son.

More of it like half of the game would be modern day and you would be an assassin from the past but in the present and you would have to take out modern day templars

AC ezio series + ac1 and ac3 all had an awesome modern day story .. all connected and linked ..

I am trying to but it is very difficult as in comics are not available to us where we are, it's better if the main story is told in the game instead of comics.

Assassin's work in the shadows and that means they are not visible to the world as in others can point out ' look he is an assassin'

Established characters story should be uncovered completely as there is no loophole, like story of Edward kenway after arriving in London, the dots between Arno and shay troubles alot .. why he did not go for his father's revenge, loophole ..

I want a full game set in the present. I am playing the franchise for this.

The Juno storyline must end. I would love to read the comics, they are not sold here in Brazil.

As long as AC doesn’t hit present time it will be ok. AC is all about the past and templars and history and all. Please don’t come to the present please.

Assassin's Creed is the symbiosis between Present and Past. If you take one away, it's not Assassin's Creed anymore. Patrice Désilets said AC is at its core, a science-fiction franchise, not a historical one.

-I like 3rd person playable modern day. I like doing missions that are important and have a reason, like when Desmond went to Abstergo to rescue William and kill Vidic.

-I like books like Heresy. Not a huge impact on the overall story, but still a very good book.

-I don’t like when we go into the Animus for no reason. There must be a good motive we explore the past.
Like finding Ezio’s Apple under the Colosseum. Or learning important things, like in Heresy. I think Brotherhood had the best Modern Day. And character development.

-I don’t really like cutscenes, it’s a game, not a movie. The last cutscene in Syndicate was decent, but imagine if we would have played as Galina and fight. A total different experience.

-I don’t really like the comics, but I read the story on wiki to know the important things.

-I hate and it frustrates me that the main plot happens in the comics and not in the games. I was expecting the Phoenix Project to end in Origins or at least give us something big about Juno, the Instruments, Desmond’s son.

-I think we should explore the stories of previously established characters. Like Galina, Charlotte, Otso Berg. We already have enough, we don’t need more.

-My vision for the next game is that William introduces Layla to the other assassins in his cell and explain her everything that happened. This could be like the “Previously On” cutscene intros every game had in the Desmond saga. So, even someone who never played AC before will understand what’s going on. Then we can do great and important stuff in the modern day. Maybe William will send Layla on field. And maybe we’ll meet with Charlotte’s team. And Otso Berg.

Bringing back 3rd person playable modern day was a step in the right direction. This needs to continue, but it’s not enough on its own as it needs to feature meaningful gameplay, conversations, cutscenes and pivotal moments, significant progress and inter connectivity in stories.

Make modern day realistic and not wear outfits that make you stand out, but still playable, and full of secrets. Best modern day was from Ac1-3 (aside from rev)
