Journey to Ireland and unravel the mysteries of an ancient druidic cult. Fight your way through haunted forests and dazzling landscapes while gaining influence among Gaelic kings.

The Legendary Beast battles in the Assassin's Creed Valhalla main game were some of the hardest challenges in the game, mixing legend, lore and reality. Whether it be an oversized animal, or a mysterious creature from the depths of fiction, Valhalla did a great job at delivering memorable beast battles, and we hope that the team develop this further by diving into old Irish folklore to create a new set of challenges.

One of the biggest flaws with Assassin's Creed Unity that fans noticed straight away (apart from the bugs) were the lack of French accents. It's fair to say that the game delivered variants of British accents with several French words (normally swear words) in the dialogue.

Valhalla's main game got accents right, adding a real variety that changed depending on your location. As Assassin's Creed is heading back to Paris for Valhalla's second expansion, we hope that authentic French accents are included to avoid a repeat of the mistakes made by Unity.

Currently, the only member of The Hidden Ones that Eivor knows is Hytham, and he's an injured apprentice. It would be nice to see more pre-cursor Assassins in the game, and the DLC is the perfect opportunity to explore the origins of the French Brotherhood

Although Valhalla did a great job at telling a story set in the Assassin's Creed Universe, especially when it comes to blending old and new lore together, the Hidden Ones / Order of Ancients storyline felt optional at times.

The image below is a concept art piece for The Siege of Paris DLC, and it screams Assassin's Creed. If Eivor is ever going to join the Hidden Ones, it will probably happen in the DLCs. Fingers crossed we get to see this storyline develop, or even the transformation of The Order of Ancients into an early version of The Templar Order, rather than just Viking raids.

In our review of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, we argued that World Events are some of the best side activities since AC III's homestead missions, and really help to develop Eivor's character further.

Many of them helped to humanise the character of Eivor, and demonstrated the different sides of her personality. They all varied in tone, but each delivered a problem that needed to be solved. Some of the best World Events were the ones that provided thought provoking content, such as 'Warmth of Winter' in Jorvik. Eivor buys a Yule goat from an excited child, who runs off eager to tell her sister the good news, only for the player to arrive at Jorvik cemetary to discover that the sister is actually deceased.

It would be great to see more World Events in Ireland, potentially exploring Irish folklore and mystery, and giving us the chance to learn more about Eivor.

The First Assassin's Creed Valhalla expansion, Wrath of the Druids is set to introduce The Children of Danu, a druidic cult that worshipped a magical race known as Tuatha Dé Danann with supernatural powers. This could potentially be the Isu who they are worshipping, making them an extremely dangerous faction if they discover hidden knowledge about the precursors.

Like the Legendary Beasts, The Daughters of Lerion were challenging boss battles in the main game that took a great deal of time to defeat. According to Jose Araiza (Post Launch Producer), the upcoming DLC will have Eivor tracking down and fighting members of the cult. Hopefully they pose a real threat for the player, and introduce an even darker, more mysterious tone for the DLC.

Historically, Halfdan Ragnarsson was a commander of the Great Heathern Army who distributed York in 876 among his men to join the Viking campaigns in Northern Ireland.

The majority of Assassin's Creed Valhalla is set during 873, leaving a three year gap between the game's ending and the Irish campaigns led by Halfdan.

Last time we saw the character, he was struggling with depression, and collecting his thoughts. This is likely linked to him being the reincarnation of the Isu Thor, as he begins the internal battle that Sigurd and Eivor also face. It would be interesting to see if this plot point develops further, and a conclusion to Halfdan's story is told.

The Modern Day ending of Assassin's Creed Valhalla was a huge shock for many players. Layla is trapped in the Yggdrasil device, and Basim (the reincarnation of Loki) escapes, using the Staff of Hermes to regenerate. Valhalla did a great job at tying together many narrative plot points, especially in the Modern Day

The Assassin's Creed Odyssey DLC's took Modern Day progression to a new level, so hopefully we continue as Basim in the Valhalla expansions, and discover his true motivations and intentions.

What will he do next?

Will we finally learn about what really happened to Fenrir, and why Loki hates Odin (without the filter of Norse mythology)

Will he somehow try to bring his son back?

Is Alethea the mother?

The River Raids Game Mode were criticised for adding an armour set that is essentially a reskin of an existing armour set. This is the case with several of the gear options in Valhalla.

It has also been highlighted by many that Valhalla has limited gear options in comparison to the Animus Store, where they can be purchased via microtransactions.

Paris is the perfect opportunity to introduce unique gear options and loot. The armour styles historically were completely different to what we have seen so far in the game.

Rollo is an extremely important historical figure, eventually becoming the Count of Rouen and converting to Christianity. Some sources even suggest that he may have married the King's daughter Gisela, as was depicted in History's Vikings (TV).

The character of Rollo was side-lined in the Assassin's Creed Valhalla main game, possibly due to his young age, appearing briefly in the Essexe arc before joining the Ravensthorpe settlement JomsVikingr on raids.

As he is such an important figure, The Siege of Paris needs to showcase his story, and his transition from a Viking to establishing The House of Normandy.

In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Eivor's body can be found in an unmarked grave located in North America, something which is discovered by Layla, Shaun and Rebecca due to a cryptic message sent by Basim (Loki).

How did she die?

Why is she in Vinland?

The DLC expansions are a great opportunity for the team to conclude Eivor's story, and one of the ways they can do that is by following her death.

It would also be interesting to see if Eivor's connection to Havi becomes stronger, and if her personality begins to change at all. The end of the game implied that she somehow managed to walk away from Havi's control, but will this be the case?
